The Sunshine Open Water Swim Series is back with two stunning dates:

🌊 March 7, 2026 - Pass-a-Grill Beach
🌊 May 16, 2026 - Pass-a-Grill Beach

We're growing thoughtfully! To celebrate every swimmer, we're adding a 10K challenge for the ultra-distance seekers and a 1/4 mile splash for newcomers and families or swim what you can, 100, 200, 300 yards to the finish. 

Our staged start ensures a perfect day for all:
10K → 5K → 1.2 Mile → 1/2 Mile → 1/4 Mile or swim what you can for kids 12 and under and champions of ability swim any distance.  

I love creating these small, meaningful events where we push limits and share the open water spirit together. To keep that special atmosphere, participation will be capped at 150-200 swimmers.

Champions of Ability (CoA) Category

Join me in welcoming all special needs athletes to participate in our open water swim event, where we focus on achievements rather than limitations. This category celebrates empowerment, skill, and the joy of swimming, encouraging athletes to showcase their strengths.

My Goals Are:

• Promote Inclusion: Foster an environment where all athletes feel valued, regardless of their abilities.

• Encourage Participation: Recognize and reward every athlete’s effort and accomplishments.

• Celebrate Individual Strengths: Highlight the unique abilities and personal growth of each athlete.

Awards and Certification

• Champions of Ability Medal: Every participant will receive a medal recognizing them as a “Champion of Ability.” In the future, medals will feature the event logo and a catchy slogan like “Every Stroke Counts.”

The Champions of Ability category will celebrate these athletes for their dedication and spirit in the pursuit of excellence!
