Please join us on Saturday, May 16th, 2015 for I Am Able 2 Run, Walk & Roll The Distance.
Run, Walk or Roll the Distance...with the Alden Road Racers for our 1st annual 1 mile Fun Run/5k Race. This event will help to support I Am Able with its mission to help the youth of our community who have moderate to severe disabilities. We encourage each participant to have a great time, live a “Champion’s Life” and “Finish Strong”.
There are a number of ways to get involved with I Am Able 2 Run, Walk & Roll The Distance 1k/5k Run.

The Mission of I Am Able, Incorporated is to provide a comforting, supportive, loving and caring environment for youth and young adults who are challenged with moderate to severe disabilities ranging in ages of 8-22 living within NE Florida. Our goal is to focus on their abilities, not their disabilities by creating an atmosphere that will promote learning, enhance their abilities while having fun and simply being themselves.

Race Registration Fees
The following race registration fees include all online processing fees
5km Run
Early Registration - $23.00 - Through 03/28/15
Regular Registration - $28.00 - 03/29/15 through 04/17/15
Late Registration - $33.00 - 04/18/15 through 05/09/15
Race Week Registration - $38.00 - 05/10/15 through 05/14/15 at 3:00pm
Day of Race Registration - $40.00 - 05/15/15 - Cash or Check only. Make checks payable to I Am Able, Inc.
Ages 23 and younger 5k Run - $18.00 - All Times
1 Mile Fun Run
Ages 15 and under 1 Mile Fun Run - $12.00 - All Times
All other ages for the 1 Mile Fun Run - $18.00

Awards will be given to the top 3 Overall Finishers as follows.

3rd Place 11 x 14 Canvas
Runner Amenities
SHIRTS
The first 150 runners will receive a commemorative t-shirt from sizes and colors that are available at the time of registration. If your preferred size are not available, you will have to select from our available inventory. Once 150 registrations are reached, there WILL NOT be any additional shirts ordered and the registration rate will remain the same as stated.
WATER STATIONS
Water stations will be available.
MEDALS
Medals will be provided to the first 150 registered participants.
Race Course
The run starts and finishes at Unity Plaza, 220 Riverside Avenue. There will be water stations on the course and at the finish line.

Event Schedule
DAY OF RACE EVENT SCHEDULE
90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race - Packet, Bib, & Chip Pickup
90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race - Day of Race Registration (Cash or Check Only)
20 minutes to 30 minutes after the last finisher - Awards Ceremony

8:00am - Race 1 Mile / 5km Start

Participants may pick up their bib and timing chip prior to the race at check in area.
Parking will be allowed.
Donations
A donation bin will be available on the day of the race.
The will be a raffle available for entry at the race for $1.00.

Race Information
Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
Chip Timing
The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system. Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup. All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race. Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line. Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.
