Why We Run

The Leading Edge Take Heart (LETH) 10K/5K is an annual event held in Lakeland, FL that makes a global impact in the lives of orphans and widows in rural Kenya. This year, the majority of funds raised will go towards education and entrepreneurship projects in the Oyuma Village community in rural Kenya. Runners and walkers alike can make a difference together by participating in this family community event.

Volunteer Opportunity

Calling all interested volunteers! We need you high schoolers, college students, families and anyone willing to serve. Come help us direct arriving cars on where to park or cheer our participants through the finish line. Email lethrace@takeheartafrica.org for more information and special registration link.
