Gulf Coast State College Athletics 5k Turkey Trot

Gulf Coast State College Athletics is excited to bring you the inaugural, turkey, trot 5K run/walk. This will be an out-and-back course that starts at Frazier Field on the Gulf Coast State College campus and climbs up onto the Hathaway bridge. This run/walk is meant for everyone. We will also have a 1-mile fun run for those wanting a shorter distance.

You can run jog, walk or waddle and start Thanksgiving off right. There will be awards three deep in five-year age groups. All participants will get a colorful commemorative T-shirt and all the fun they can handle. Sign up early and take advantage of the early registration fee. Hope to see you on Thanksgiving morning!

All proceeds to benefit Gulf Coast State College Athletics.  All funds will be used to enhance all areas of the athletic program including recruiting, scholarship benefits such as books, tuition, meals, housing, facility improvements, and other related sports functions.

First 300 participants will receive a race shirt.  Make sure to sign up early to take advantage of lower pricing!

5K Run/Walk OR Fun Run registration fees:
Early Registration: $25
Registration after November 15th: $30
Age 16 and younger: $20

Packet pickup will be on November 27th in the Wellness Building lobby from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Check out the map below for directions! If you can’t make it on the 27th, you can also pick up your packet at check-in on race day.

This year, we’re partnering with Commodore Cares, who will be holding a canned food drive during packet pickup on Wednesday, November 27th. All donations will go to the Commodore Pantry to help Gulf Coast State College students.  

If you know anyone who is interested in the race please let them know we only have a few days (Nov. 15th) left before the price increases from $25 per person to $30 per person. The first 300 people will receive a race t-shirt!

*Rain or Shine: For inclement weather on race day, we will delay the start time in 15-minute increments. 
*No Refunds:  If the race is canceled, your registration fee will be donated to GC Athletics.
