Description

Come join us at the Mickler's Landing Beachfront Park for the 7th Annual FSM Run With a Mission. Proceeds from the race will support Faithful Servant Missions. There will be a 5k ,10K and a 1 Mile run races, all starting and finishing at the beach parking lot.

This event supports Faithful Servant Missions in providing for the needs of children in Costa Rica.  Specifically, FSM seeks to improve the physical, educational and spiritual health of the communities they serve. For more information on FSM, please visit www.fsm4u.org.

The FSM RUN WITH A MISSION will be Saturday, April 4th, 2020. Second Wind Race Timing (www.secondwindtiming.com) will provide professional timing for the 5K and 10K races. Awards will be given for top finishers overall and in various age groups.   All events will take place at Mickler's Landing Beachfront, and will be followed by FSM Family Fun including a  music, face painting and much more!   The FSM Grill will be there serving post-run food to enjoy.

Our RUN WITH A MISSION event provides a significant impact with the help of many friends, family, church and business partners. Together we can help make a difference.  This year will build on last year’s success and continue to change the lives of those that FSM serve.

for the needs of Children in Costa Rica and Panama seeking to improve their physical, educational and spiritual health. 

Race Amenities

CUSTOM EVENT SHIRTS:

All runners registered two weeks prior to the race are guaranteed to recieve a custom shirt commemorating the event.   All runners registering within two weeks of the race will receive a shirt as supplies permit.

GOODIE BAGS:

All participants will receive a goodie bag with giveaways and vendor/sponsor handouts.

POST RACE CELEBRATION & SILENT AUCTION:

Many of the race sponsors will have booths and tents set up at the post race celebration with fun activities for everyone.  In addition there will be a silent auction at the FSM Booth with great items up for bid.   Don't forget to bring cash or checks to take part in this great opportunity.

5K OVERALL AWARDS:
Men - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women - 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place

5K AGE GROUP AWARDS - 10 YEAR:
Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups:  0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 Plus

Angels Division awarded top 1-2-3 (Ainsley's Angels / pushed wheel chair division)

Runners will only receive one award:  overall or an age group award.  Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted.  Awards must be claimed at the awards ceremony.   

10K RACE AWARDS

10K OVERALL AWARDS:

All participants 15 and under are $20.00 for any race at all times

Fundraising

Raise some money for a good cause by becoming a fundraiser for FSM Run With A Mission.  Details are on the fundraising page.  Participants may fundraise as an invidiual or join a fundraising team.  

Race Course

The 5k, 10k, and 1 Mile all and finish in the Mickler's Landing Beach parking lot. The 5K is an out-back course, and the 10K is a 2 loop version of the 5K course.  10K results will include both first half/second half split times

1 Mile Course
1 Mile Course will follow the 5km and 10km courses, with a turn around point at .5 mile.

Course Time Limits

Please note there is a course time limit of 90 minutes for both the 5k and the 10k which equates to the paces listed below.     After 90 minutes the course will be closed.

5k - 90 Minutes - 29:01 per mile

10k - 90 Minutes - 14:30 per mile

Join A Team

Create or join a team and have more fun running as part of a group.  It's a great way make a great event better with a group of friends or family members while running for a great cause.  

Virtual Run

If you can't make the actual event  but still want to be a part of the fun and help support FSM you can run a virtual 5k anywhere you are and you will receive the same shirt as if you were running with us!   Please note that there are no awards or results for the virtual 5k, just the satisfaction of running for a good cause (and of course the awesome t-shirt you will receive for completing your run)

Chip Timing

The race will be chip timed using a bib chip system.    All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their clothing to score in the race.  Chips do NOT have to be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances. In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alernate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.
