4th of July 5K

SPECIAL MESSAGE: If you plan to register for the race on race morning, please bring a credit card or plan to use Apple Pay. Cash will not be accepted. 

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our 4th of July 5K Run/Walk. The course is a scenic 3.1 miles around Babcock Ranch, starting and finishing in Founder's Square. 

The shirt cutoff date is June 20, 2025. Shirts ARE NOT guaranteed after this date. Any extra shirts will be available after the race. 

EARLY PACKET PICKUP: Wednesday, July 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursday, July 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
PICKUP LOCATION: Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office, 42911 Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982.

RACE DAY PARKING: Free ample parking is available near the starting area.
RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:  6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. at 42850 Crescent Loop, Punta Gorda, FL 33982 
RACE DAY REGISTRATION:  6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m., cost is $40.00.  
RACE START TIME: 7:30 a.m.   

Post-race snacks are available after the race. Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish areas, and the water stop will also be at the halfway mark.  

Water Stations: Located at the halfway mark on the course and at the end of the finish line.
Rest Rooms: Located next to the Start Line.
Parking: Free parking is available in parking areas near Founder's Square.
 

Awards:
Age group awards are based on off-chip time.
There will be overall awards and finisher medals. If you don't stay for your award, you are responsible for coordinating with Babcock Ranch of when you will pick it up

1st Place Overall Awards: Male & Female.
1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters: Male & Female
In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+.

A: Yes, the 5K is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.
Q: Is there an Untimed fun run?
A: Yes, the untimed fun run will start with the timed 5K..
Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is paved roads and sidewalks.
Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. Your pet must be leashed at all times and up to date on vaccinations. Please pick up after your pooch. Participants with dogs will start at the back of the race. 
Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? Course map coming soon.
A: Yes. Participants with strollers must start at the back of the race. 
Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes.
