Thanks4Giving 5K

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce our 3rd Annual Thanks4Giving 5K.  Race is on 11/25/23.

Thanks 4 Giving 5K supports Babcock Neighborhood School.  Any proceeds above costs will go to the school.

All runners and walkers will receive a custom-designed Thanks 4 Giving 5K - dri-fit short-sleeved shirt, available in youth and adult sizes. The shirt Cutoff date is 11/12/2023 at 11:59 PM.  You will not be guaranteed a shirt if you register after 11/12/2023.  

EARLY PACKET PICKUP:  Wednesday, November 22, 12-3 p.m. at Babcock Ranch Lifestyle Office. 42911, Lake Babcock Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33982. 

RACE DAY PARKING:  Free ample parking is available near the starting area.

RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP:  6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. at Babcock Ranch Founder's Square. 

RACE DAY REGISTRATION:  6:45 a.m. - 7:45 a.m., cost is $35.00.  

RACE START TIME:  8:00 a.m. 

There will be post-race snacks and awards. 

The race is chip-timed by Beach Bum Timing.  

Bathrooms and Water Stations will be located at the start and finish areas.  The water stop will be at the halfway mark.  

Awards:

Age group awards are based off-chip time.

1st Place Overall Awards - Male & Female.

1st Place Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Masters - Male & Female

In-person awards to the top three M/F in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.

Q: Is this a timed race? 
A: Yes, the 5K is chip-timed. 

Q: What is the course surface like?
A: The course is a mixture of asphalt, hard-packed shell, and mulch.

Q: Are dogs allowed on the course? 
A: You may run with your dog, but you assume ALL responsibility for your dog. You must maintain proper social distancing and pick up after your pooch. 

Q: Are strollers allowed on the course? 
A: Yes

Q: Is the course good for spectators? 
A: Yes
