 * Ronnie's Run is Back!

Ronnie's Run is in memory of my son Ronnie Scrimo who passed away because an unknown person who unknowingly gave him fentanyl on December 10th 2014. Ronnie did struggled with alcohol abuse. He was enrolled at Saint Petersburg College; he earned his A.A. and was one semester away from graduating with his Bachelors of Arts degree. He was a member of Phi Thete Kappa. Ronnie was an AMAZING athlete and runner. He was involved in Tri-Fitness, Orangetheory Fitness and a member at CrossFit Apogee in Apollo Beach, FL. 

On March 22nd, 2026, our sweet daughter Sharon passed away from liver failure. Ultimately, it was from alcohol as well. Sharon was a Registered Nurse and had 2 beautiful daughters & a grandbaby that she left behind.

Our hearts are broken from the loss and I decided that it would only be appropriate to reignite the run in their memory.

Ronnie and Sharon are missed dearly by so many. In their memory, we dedicate this race to Ronnie & Sharon, and to ALL the others we have lost along the way to drugs and alcohol. A parent should never have to feel the pain of losing their child.

 Our mission is to bring awareness and resources to all that struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, to provide resources for addicts and their families.

 We believe that Christ is the all time healer and can help those in need. God has given us peace and comfort and I feel has directled me to observe the need to help others.

Packet Pickup Dates and Times:  On Wednesday August 23rd, 2023 @ St. Pete Running Company 6986 22nd Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710  From 4 until 7pm On Thursday August 24th, 2023 at Dicks Sporting Goods Store in Tampa, Westshore Mall From 4 until 7pm

No race day registration!! Registration open until the day before the event.

We will have race day packet pick up, but if you are local, please try and pick up your packet at one of the dates and times to avoid lines on race day.

Enjoy a great warm up of Zumba prior to the race starting.

Sorry we can only accommodate virtual registrations within the USA due to higher postage.

PETS & STROLLERS: We love dogs, and they make great training partners, but for their safety and yours, please leave your pet at home on race day. STROLLERS are allowed, but please start at the back of starting line, PLEASE for everyone's safety no scooters, ebikes skates etc.
