ACRR Youth Cross Country Race Series

WHAT: Ancient City Road Runners Youth Cross Country Race Series

You may register for one or both races.

WHO: Boys and girls in grades K-8 who attend public & private schools, homeschools, and charter schools in southern St Johns County are eligible to participate. All skill levels are welcome.

WHEN:

• Saturday, Dec. 6 starting at 8 am
• Saturday, Dec. 13 starting at 8 am

We will have several heats based on the number of runners by age groups (see distances below). 

Tentative Race Schedule for Dec. 6 & 13

8.30 am - K to 1st grade Girls/Boys
9.00 am - 2nd grade Girls/Boys 
9.30 am - 3rd grade Girls/Boys 
10.00 am - 4th grade Girls/Boys
10.30 am - 5th grade Girls/Boys
11.00 am - 6-8th grade Girls
11.30 am - 6-8th grade Boys 

WHERE: Treaty Park, 1595 Wildwood Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32086

The cross country course will start and finish on the large multi-purpose field and loop around the softball fields and pickleball courts.

WHY:  These fun races are an introduction to the sport of cross country for new runners; conditioning for skilled athletes; and the foundation for the Inaugural K-8 Cross Country and Track & Field Seasons that start in 2026.

Distances:

• Grades K-2 races will be 1/2 mile
• Grades 3-5 races will be 1 mile
• Grades 6-8 races will be 1.5 miles

Cost: FREE! 

Donations are welcome and will be used to build ACRR Youth Running Programs, including timing machine and other equipment and supplies as well as Summer Run Camp.
