After careful consideration, the 2021 One Step Closer to the Cure, presented by the Schmidt & Barton Family Fund, Trevor Burgess & Gary Hess, and Women’s Care Florida, is moving to a virtual race format.
Although we are very disappointed to not run together and gather in support of Ovarian Cancer survivors, we feel it is best to prioritize the health and safety of our community.
With the move to a virtual format, participants have the flexibility to run or walk with family, friends, and pets during the week before and on September 18th. Because you have already registered for the event, your registration has been updated and you do not need to do anything. Virtual runners can pick up their bib, medal, and shirt at Packet Pickup prior to race week, or they will be mailed. Look for more information in your inbox in the next couple of weeks.
We appreciate your support of our Ovarian Cancer survivors during treatment and encourage you to invite others to join us virtually! Friends, family, and coworkers near and far can run or walk by signing up at www.cmocf.org/onestep.
The One Step Closer: Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation 10K and 5K race has gone virtual! Lace up your running or walking shoes and complete your virtual race on your own time. Create your own race route in your neighborhood, on the treadmill, on the beach or wherever you want! Your participation will continue to help provide financial assistance to patients and support research, prevention and education in the community. Make sure to follow us on Facebook, Celma Mastry Ovarian Cancer Foundation, for more race updates and information!
