Description

All Souls Catholic School is proud to present the Jog 4 Jenni 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, February 11th, 2017.  This charity event will start and finish at Ft. Mellon Park in downtown Sanford, Florida.  This beautiful course will take you along the lake front and around the town of Sanford.  This event is being put on in memory of Jenni Heneghan,  Jenni was the former principal of All Souls Catholic School. She passed away due to a brain aneurysm on March 3, 2015. As her passion was education, monies raised from this event will benefit families who are in need of tuition assistance at All Souls Catholic School.

The 2017 Jog for Jenni 5K benefits economically-disadvantaged youth, kindergarten through middle-school age, who possess great potential but who need financial assistance to attend All Souls Catholic School, a national Blue Ribbon School.

The top 10 men and top 10 women will each receive a placement medal.  All participants receive a timing-chip embedded numbered bib (for tracking placement and time) and an event T-shirt.

About the Jog 4 Jenni

Started in 2013 with 352 registered runners, this year the organizers want to attract 1,000 runners, which would permit assistance for up to 5 students. In 2016, the 5K was renamed to honor Jenni Heneghan, who served as principal from 2010-2015 and who started the race as a school fundraiser. 2016 will be the first time that the net race proceeds will be used solely for financial assistance for All Souls Catholic School students.
