Bring friends, family and coworkers to join us in person on Saturday, March 8 at the inaugural Tampa Bay Buccaneers She is Football 5K Run, Walk & Stroll. This family-friendly event is for everyone from avid competitors to children. All proceeds raised from the race will benefit girls in sports right here in Tampa Bay!
With studies indicating that 94% of female executives participated in sports throughout their life, the Buccaneers are committed to keeping girls in the game and impacting the female dropout rate that doubles that of their male counterparts. Every registration will go towards increased access in order for girls to reach their full potential, both on and off the field, so register today!

COURSE DESCRIPTION: LIVE RACE
The 5K (3.1 miles) race is chip-timed and participants will receive a bib with a timing chip attached. The chip will begin timing once you cross the start line, recording your net time until you cross the finish line. The 1-mile Fun Run and Stroller Stroll are untimed/unchipped events. Participants will be running/walking on both grass and concrete surfaces of varying terrain starting near the AdventHealth Training Center and ending inside the AdventHealth Training Center.
CONTINGENCY:
If we are unable to hold a live race for any reason, the race will still take place in a virtual format. Registrations are not refundable or transferable in such an event. The net proceeds will be directed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Foundation in support of girls in sports.
A portion of net proceeds raised will benefit girls in sports.

LIVE RACE FAQ
1. How far is a 5K?
- a. 5 kilometers = 3.1 miles.
2. What kind of surface is the race on?
- a. Participants will be running/walking on both grass and concrete surfaces of varying terrain.
3. How much is parking?
- a. Parking is free and will be available in Lot 14 at AdventHealth Training Center. A parking pass will be provided. You can enter Lot 14 through the Himes Ave. gate up until 6:30 a.m. on race day or through the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd./RV Lot. The AdventHealth Training Center entrance at One Buccaneer Place will not be accessible. The Himes entrance will close at 7:00 a.m., but all other gates will remain open. Participants must have their vehicles parked by 7:45 a.m. After the race and guests are welcome to enjoy the She is Football Market and Flag Football Tournament.
4. Can I have my race packet shipped to me?
- a. No – all participants that are participating in the race must pick up their packet in person. Packet pick up will take place at AdventHealth Training Center on Wednesday, March 5 from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, March 6
5. What time does the race start?
- a. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp with the first corral. After the first corral begins at 8:00a.m., all other corrals will follow approximately 3 minutes apart from each other. Corrals are assigned based on expected mile time. Your bib will be color-coded based on which race wave you are in.
6. Can I run/walk with a stroller?
- a. Yes – but all participants running/walking with a stroller are encouraged to line up towards the back/last corral so as not to impede running traffic. We are also featuring a “Stroller Stroll” that will take place in a separate corral.
7. Can I run/walk with my pet?
- a. No – pets are not permitted to run/walk with participants. Service animals are permitted.
8. Can I bike/roller blade/scooter the course?
- a. No – bicycles, scooters, rollerblades, and other forms of wheeled motorization are not permitted.
9. Will there be a bag drop-off?
- a. No – there will not be a bag drop-off. Please leave all your belongings locked safely in your vehicle. If you are picking up your packet the morning of the race, please remember that you will need a photo ID, so allow yourself time to pick up your packet and return to your vehicle if you do not wish to carry your ID during the race.
10. How long will I have to run/walk the race?
- a. All participants must complete the 5K course by 9:30 a.m.
11. How is my time recorded?
- a. The 5K will be chip timed. Participants will receive a bib with a timing chip attached to it. The chip will begin timing once you cross the start line, recording your net time until you cross the finish line. The Fun Run and Stroller Stroll are a non-competitive races and will not be chip timed.
12. Can my friends or family come watch me run?
- a. Yes – friends and family are permitted to watch the race.
- b. Spectators will need a parking pass to enter Lot 14. The pass will need to be provided by the participant. Parking lots will close at 8:45 a.m. Spectators must have their vehicles parked by then.
13. Will water or food be provided before or after the race?
- a. There will be water stations on the course and at a post-race refreshment area in Victory Village. Fruit will also be provided to registered participants post-race in Victory Village.
14. Where will water stations be located?
- a. Two water stations will be located along the course – one just after the 1-mile mark and one at approximately the 2.5-mile mark. Post-race water will also be available at the finish line and in the refreshment area of Victory Village.
15. Where will restrooms be located?
- a. On-site portable restrooms will be available near the start line and in Victory Village.
16. Where will the results be posted?
- a. Results can be accessed by scanning the QR code on your race bib at the kiosks located near the finish line and via an email that will be sent to all registered participants after the race. Official results will also be posted on www.buccaneers.com later in the day.
17. What time is the awards ceremony?
- a. The awards ceremony is scheduled for approximately 8:45 a.m. on the stage in the Indoor Practice Facility.
18. What categories will receive 5K race awards?
- a. We will award the fastest Overall Male, Overall Female, Male Master (40+ years old), Female Master (40+ years old), Male Grand Master (50+ years old), Female Grand Master (50+ years old), and the 1st and 2nd place males and females in the following age groups:
- 9 & under
- 10 – 14
- 15 – 19
- 20 – 24
- 25 – 29
- 30 – 34
- 35 – 39
- 40 – 44
- 45 – 49
- 50 – 54
- 55 – 59
- 60 – 64

- b. All participants will receive a custom finisher medal after they cross the finish line.
19. Who is the race benefiting?
- a. A portion of the proceeds from the inaugural She is Football 5K Run, Walk &Stroll will benefit programming that supports girls in sports.
20. What happens if the race is canceled?
- a. If the race needs to be cancelled due to weather, unforeseen circumstances, or safety concerns, there will be no refunds. However, your registration fee will still go towards benefiting girls and women in sports.
21. What is included in race participation?
- a. All registrations are eligible for a free ticket to a 2025 Buccaneers home preseason game! After the 2025 schedule has been set, you will receive an email with a unique code to claim the same number of preseason tickets as registrants for the She is Football 5k Run, Walk & Stroll.
Live Race Packet Distribution
All participants who sign up for the live race will be required to pick up their packet at one of the below dates. Packets will not be mailed to those who select the live race option.
Our goal is to ensure the smoothest packet pick-up possible. To do that, we recommend making sure you have completed and have ready all of the below items so that you do not have any issues at the time you go to pick up your packet(s):
