Wellen Park is proud to present the 4th Annual Half Marathon & 5K Presented by Hotwire Communications.
Join us for an unforgettable race experience starting and finishing in the heart of Downtown Wellen Park, Venice, Florida. Whether you're racing the Half Marathon or enjoying the 5K, this event promises a scenic, well-supported course and a vibrant post-race atmosphere.
A portion of proceeds and all donations will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast. Help us make a difference, one stride at a time.
RACE INFORMATION:

Location: Solis Hall, Downtown Wellen Park, 19745 Wellen Park Blvd, Venice, FL 34293
Start Times: Half Marathon: 7:30 AM. 5K: 7:45 AM
Parking: There is plenty of parking available throughout the downtown Wellen Park area.
Walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs are welcome. For everyone’s safety, please start at the back of your respective race. Dogs must be well behaved, leashes can be no longer than 6ft, and not retractable. Participants must clean-up after their pet. Race officials reserve the right to remove a pet if it appears to be aggressive.
PLEASE NOTE - Refund Policy: There are no refunds for this race. If you believe a scheduling conflict or unforeseen circumstance may prevent your participation, we strongly encourage you to consider purchasing registration insurance during checkout.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

6:15 AM - 7:15AM, Race Day Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration.

9:15 AM - 5K Awards Ceremony based on official finish times.

Half Marathon Course/USATF Certification Coming Soon!
The half marathon course is flat, fully paved, and will be clearly marked throughout to ensure a smooth and enjoyable race experience.
Aid Stations: Water, Gatorade, and GU energy gels will be available approximately every 2 miles.
Restrooms: A porta-potty will be located near the 10K mark.
Split Timing: 10K split times will be recorded and made available to all participants post-race.
Time Limit: Runners must complete the course within 3 hours and 30 minutes (3:30:00). This equates to an average pace of 16:01 per mile or faster. Participants finishing outside the time limit will not receive an official time.

The Wellen Park 5K course is flat, fully paved, and well-marked, it's ideal for runners and walkers of all levels.
Water Stop: Located at approximately Mile 1.55 to keep you hydrated mid-race.

Shirt Cutoff Reminder: Participants must be registered by March 1, 2026 to guarantee a race shirt. Don’t miss out on the swag!

Note: Half Marathon participants must be at least 13 years old.
Finisher Medals: All 5K and Half Marathon participants will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
Note: If you are unable to attend the awards ceremony, you will be directed to pick up your award at the Wellen Park Welcome Center a few days after the race. Awards and/or finisher medals will not be shipped to participants.
