‼️ Read Before Signing Up! ‼️
THE SATURDAY, 3/7, SHAMROCK FUN RUN IS A POINT-TO-POINT COURSE, WHICH MEANS THE START AND FINISH ARE IN TWO DIFFERENT SPOTS.
On the morning of the event, we recommend parking at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie at the Shoppes at South Hills. From there, we'll walk as a group down to the parade starting point on Route 9D in the Village of Wappingers (~0.8 miles). Since the run will end at Mesier Park, you will need to get back to your car at the Shoppes at South Hills.
WE WILL NOT PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION FROM THE FINISH BACK TO THE STORE.
Alternatively, you can try to park near Mesier Park, where the run ends, and walk or get a ride to where the run will start.
Shamrock SWAG!
All participants will receive the following with their entry fee:
- A custom-designed Shamrock Fun Run race bib
- A custom-designed, Shamrock Fun Run long-sleeved shirt (image below)
An email with additional details about the event, including bib/SWAG pickup times, will be sent to all registered participants on Wednesday, 3/4. Please be sure that you register with a valid email address and that you check it regularly; otherwise, you risk missing important communications. While we think our emails are fun and important, they sometimes end up in Spam or Junk folders, so please check there before reaching out to us with any questions.
Clover Collaborators
We're looking for a few (four to be exact) volunteers to help participants navigate the parade route and be our race sweep. Volunteers will receive some goodies for helping us out. If you're interested, check out the details HERE and submit your information.
FAQs
This is a family-friendly event, and there is no minimum age to participate. The entire parade route will be closed to traffic. However, please remember that this is a POINT-TO-POINT run/walk. Participants will be encouraged to park at the Shoppes at South Hills, and we will walk to the parade/fun run start line, which is on the corner of Route 9D & Delavergne Ave., as a group. This is a decent-length walk, which will be on top of the 1.5-mile fun run route. Participants will be responsible for getting themselves back to their car after the run. Please consider all of these factors and use your best judgment when registering minors for this event.
Yes, we can accommodate strollers at this event. However, we ask that extreme caution be used, particularly on the downhill portion of the run. Please leave adequate space between your stroller and other runners. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs at this event.

(This course was mapped back in 2023 — and it’s the same great route again this year!)
This is an untimed fun run. The event is entirely open to all paces, levels, and abilities.
There won't be any water provided. You should bring whatever you think you will need.
We will not have a waitlist for this event. There are only enough shirts for open registration spots, and those who register but cannot attend will still get their goodies.
Yes! Since this is an untimed fun run, you can transfer your registration. If you are reselling your space, you would handle that on your end; we don't resell spaces. Shirt sizes will not be able to be adjusted if the person you're reselling your space to is a different size. They will receive whatever size you originally registered for.
To ensure we can provide everyone with the best possible event experience, we order race supplies like bibs and shirts as registrations come in. This means that once you register, your fee helps us secure these essential items.
For this reason, we cannot offer refunds or transfers to other events. We appreciate your understanding!
Yes, you can do it anytime during normal business hours. Be sure to pick it up by Saturday, 3/14. After that, any remaining SWAG will be repurposed.
The event will happen rain or shine, and we would only not run or delay the start time if there are dangerous conditions such as thunder and lightning. Any updates due to weather considerations will be sent to all participants via email.
