Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble 5K & Fun Run

Join us for our 10th Annual Gobble Wobble event on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27, 2025)!

5K participants will receive a crewneck sweatshirt and custom finisher medal. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a crewneck sweatshirt and a fun run medal.

The starting line is at the surface parking lot behind Cherry Street Brewpub.

Free parking is available in the parking garage at Halcyon adjacent to the Village Green behind the CMX CineBistro, at the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead parking lot, in available lots across Ronald Reagan Blvd along McFarland Parkway, and across McFarland Parkway along Bluegrass Valley Parkway.  Participants are advised to carpool to this event. 

Please don't park at locations that are open for business on Thanksgiving Day or in residential areas.

Race Start Times

5K Walk/Run:  8:00 AM **

Kids Fun Run (10 & Under):  9:15 AM

**5K runners will be assigned to a Corral based on the estimated finish time submitted during registration. Starting Corrals will be pre-assigned, and your assigned Corral will be indicated on your race bib. The starting area will be sectioned off with signs to direct runners to their assigned Corral. Announcements will be made before the start of the 5K directing participants as to how they should line up. When lining up for this event, please position yourself in your assigned Corral as indicated on your race bib (Corral A, Corral B, Corral C, etc.).

If you are running with a friend or family member assigned to a different Corral, you are welcome to start together in the later Corral. Please don't move to an earlier Corral. Those with strollers should line up at the back of their assigned Corral. Chipped timing bibs will be used for this event.

Your official race time DOES NOT start until you cross the starting line. 

Registration

• If an event is not listed as "Sold Out", registrants will receive a finisher medal and race shirt.
• For all events, if your desired shirt size is available from the drop-down menu during race registration, you will receive that size shirt at packet pickup. If a shirt size is listed as "Sold Out" please select an alternative size as your desired shirt is unavailable. 
• If spots are available we will have race day registration available
• Register early to take advantage of discounts and guarantee your shirt and finisher medal!

• Tuesday, November 25th from 12 PM to 5PM
• Wednesday, November 26th from 12PM to 5PM

THERE WILL NOT BE RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP 

Packets for Virtual Participants not picked up in-store will be mailed after November 30th

Please note that we will not be exchanging t-shirt sizes at packet pickup. If we have extras after the race, you may go to the Big Peach tent following the race to see if your size is available for exchange. 

Packets for in-person participants not picked up during packet pickup will be donated. 

Restrooms

• Full-service restrooms are located inside The Market Hall adjacent to the coffee shop near the start/finish line.
• Portable toilets will be adjacent to the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead facility (6265 Cortland Walk, Alpharetta, GA 30005 - across Ronald Reagan Blvd from the Halcyon). This is approximately a 4-minute walk to/from the starting line.
• The restrooms inside The Market Hall will be busy. For shorter wait times, we advise you to use the facilities located at the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead.

Awards

• Overall male/female
• Overall masters male/female 
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group awards in 5-year increments for the 5K 

***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE AN AWARD CEREMONY ON RACE DAY. Overall and Age Group Awards will be available for pick up during regular store hours at Big Peach Running Co. - Cumming beginning Friday, November 29th. If you are from out of town, please let us know via email (northgarunningco@gmail.com) and we can mail your award.

Events will be held Rain or Shine

Race officials may cancel, delay, or change the event if the event is considered not safe for the public.
