Race Description
Join us for a brand new race on the Firefly Trail in Athens. The Trailblazer 5K starts before the 2026 Ticket to Ride event in Dudley Park. This race will benefit children's programming at the Heard Park Community Center, in the East Athens neighborhood.

This is a FREE event for ages 12 and Under. Registration is required. Parents are welcome to accompany their young children.
T-shirts are available for a purchase price of $10.00. Registration must be received by March 6, 2026.

Fun Run
T-shirts are available for a purchase price of $10.00 to children 12 and under. Registration must be received by March 6, 2026.
Virtual 5K
Virtual runners are not eligible for race t-shirts or awards.
Awards
Trailblazer 5K
Overall M/F, Masters M/Fand top three M/F runners in 10 year age groups beginning at 10 and under through 80 and over.
Fun Run
Participation medals will be available to all children 12 and under.
Course
The Firefly Trail 5K is a USATF Certified Course. (GA24046WC) and is a Peachtree Qualifying event.This is an out and back along the beautiful Firefly Trail. Start and finish are located in Dudley Park.
Virtual Option
Run your 3.1 miles anywhere. Submit your finish time by clicking on the RESULTS tab at the top of this page. Submit finish times no later than 12 noon on March 28. To submit a virtual time you must be registered as a virtual runner.
Virtual runners are not eligible for race day awards or t-shirts..
Race Series and Finishline Management
The Trailblazer 5K is proud to be a member of the Black Bag Race Series, Clover Glove Race Series and 2026 Firefly Trail Race Series.

What if it rains?
We get wet! Race start time may be delayed in 15-minute increments if storms are in the area. Sorry, no refunds due to inclement weather.
