Starting and finishing at Piedmont Park (Charles Allen Gate), the BeREGGAE 5K walk/run is a fun and fitness way to celebrate during the BeREGGAE season. The walk/run is one of the many events included in the 8th Annual BeREGGAE Music & Arts Festival on August 12-14, 2022 in Atlanta, GA. The BeREGGAE Music & Arts Festival is a celebration of Afro-Caribbean Reggae culture that promotes unity and togetherness under the banner of Reggae music and culture.
The BeREGGAE 5K is a part of our health initiative and also raises funds for our scholarships administered through our 501(c)(3), The Hand Over Fist Foundation Ltd. We promote healthy lifestyles and education within our communities. Our scholarships are awarded to high school graduating seniors within the metro Atlanta area.
The 3.1-mile course is within Piedmont Park and along the Interim Eastside Beltline Trail. The race route provides a scenic, festive route through the festival activations, picturesque greenspaces and nature. Registration includes the BeREGGAE 5K T-shirt & goodie bag. It is the open to all. Our race will not be professionally timed, so let's have healthy paced fun!
The race day activities include warm-up, inspiration, booths presented by sponsors and various organizations and of course REGGAE MUSIC!!
