Welcome to the official Cedartown Wheelchair Athlete Training Camp and C5K race registration site. This year, we are thrilled to host the 22nd-Annual C5K, and we are excited to welcome athletes from around the world to Cedartown. Our partnership with the Shepherd Center and Atlanta Track Club Peachtree 10K is a true honor. We stand united to support the sport of wheelchair racing in Georgia not only for our local communities but also for athletes from around the world.

C5K Race Location: 607 N College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125 (Peeks Park)

ACCOMODATIONS:
We are pleased to announce this year we are back at the original race hotel in Cedartown. The newly refurbished Days Inn with brand new bedroom flooring, new beds, new mattresses and more. Conveniently located, the hotel is a few hundred yards from the C5k racecourse and training runs. There are several restaurants, a grocery store and a bank walking distance from the Days Inn Hotel.

Book your own accommodation:
- You must book your own room by emailing or calling the hotel
- The rate is $40/night per person sharing a double room. The total for a room per night is $80 (including taxes)
- To save money book your room with a friend – plan with a friend prior to booking your room and specify your plans in the booking
- If you wish to book a private room the rate is $80/night

TRANSPORTATION:
Email Samantha at sre2133@aol.com your arrival times and follow her instructions for pick up logistics at the Atlanta airport. Please Book you flight to arrive and depart during decent times during the day time hours. If you arrive late at night or very early morning hours you may have to wait on our transport or we will provide a contact number for you to arrange your own transport. Keep in mind that Cedartown is 75miles from the airport/ 1.5 h drive.
REGISTRATION FOR THE CEDARTOWN 5K RACE AND CAMP:
$40 REGISRATION FEE*
* Registration fee includes the same for athletes, coaches, family and friends:
- Your race registration for the Cedartown5k race. (athletes)
- Transport from Atlanta airport to host hotel in Cedartown (see dates below)
- Transport to Peachtree 10K host hotel in Atlanta (morning of July 3rd)
- All meals except for lunch on Monday and Tuesday
- Track meet at Darlington School – informal fun evening meet (pending enough interest)
- Race T-shirt
- Premium gift ( athletes)
- Equipment clinic
- Automatic registration for the Triple Crown Series prize purse [Must have registered separately in a minimum of three (3) events]
Please note accommodations are not included in Camp registration -- You must book your OWN hotel room.
C5K RACE INFORMATION: (a.k.a "Cedartown 5K")
The 5K race course will remain the same as in previous years - the C5K delivers the fastest 5K times in the world. The course is technical with some climbs and downhills on smooth roads.

- Masters’ Men (ages 40-49)
- Grandmasters Men (ages 51 and older)
- T52 Quad Men
- Junior Boys
- Junior Girls
TWO START TIMES:
Race 1 -- OPEN WOMEN; T52 QUAD DIVISION MEN
Race 2 -- OPEN MEN; MASTERS MEN; AND GRANDMASTERS MEN
PRIZE MONEY $$$ and a custom trophy are awarded to the top 3 in all divisions, additional divisions may be added as long as a minimum of 3 competitors race in your division.
TRACK MEET ON DARLINGTON CAMPUS:
For those of you who did the track meet last year in 2024, you will remember it was fun and fast!! The track meet will be informal and based on a rolling start timetable, starting later in the evening July 1st. Please pick your top three (3) preferred events in the registration process. We will select events depending on the popularity and hope to run a 'Last Man Out' fun race at the close of the evening.
EQUIPMENT CLINIC: *Presented by Krige Schabort and Wheels of Fire father/daughter team Raymond and Aerelle Jones
Our equipment clinic* will cover maintenance, track steering components, wheel alignment (toe-in-toe-out), as well as other important tips to maintain your racing chair ready-to-perform. This is a great opportunity not only for young athletes and newcomers but also for seasoned athletes as well. Leave the session with knowledge learning from other athletes and our clinic hosts!!
Triple Crown Series
The 2025 Rolling Thunder Triple Crown Series (TCS) will consist of four (4) events; athletes must race in three of the four events to qualify for points.
