💬 "I live in Nashville. New England is a flight and a half. I kept watching IronHike videos thinking some day. Then they announced Georgia and I reached out to IronHike before I even finished reading the page. December cannot come soon enough."
— Darnell · Nashville, TN · Registering for Double Kuwohi
IronHike is a veteran-owned elevation-based endurance event Series now at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. Your only real competitor is the version of you who almost didn't sign up.
You won't go up alone, but the climb is still yours. It's you against the Staircase and you against yesterday's version of yourself. Nobody else's finish line matters here. Just what you're willing to earn.

IronHike Endurance Productions is a veteran-owned elevation-based endurance event Series held every Fall at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia (GA), at the official gateway to the 2,197-mile Appalachian Trail. Double Kuwohi is IronHike's Trail Ultra Marathon, the next step for Mountain Athletes who have already Started Here and want more of the Staircase. This is your Next Step: 33 Miles and 24 Hours, climbing 1,208 stairs per lap (604 up, 604 down) on the AT Approach Trail staircase for a full day and night, no lifts, no shortcuts, no gondola, every stair self-powered and earned twice over. IronHike is a self-powered Everesting alternative and 29029 alternative in the Southeast, offering elevation-based staircase events from 12 hours to 84 hours, 6,644 to 72,480 feet of vertical gain. This is not a race endurance event: there is no podium, no age group awards, and no finish line prize. Mountain Athletes compete Solo, as a Trail Buddy pair, or as a Trail Family of four using our FlexRelay format, with athletes from 30 states and 3 countries and counting.
