💬 "I thru-hiked the AT in 2019. Started at Springer. Got dropped off at the Springer parking lot instead of hiking the Approach Trail because everyone said it was brutal. Been thinking about those 604 stairs ever since. Not this time. I reached out to the Cadre last week and told them I am in."

IronHike is a veteran-owned elevation-based endurance event Series now at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia. Your only real competitor is the version of you who almost didn't sign up.
You won't go up alone, but the climb is still yours. It's you against the Staircase and you against yesterday's version of yourself. Nobody else's finish line matters here. Just what you're willing to earn.

IronHike Endurance Productions is a veteran-owned elevation-based endurance event Series held every Fall at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia (GA), at the official gateway to the 2,197-mile Appalachian Trail. Kuwohi's Trail Buddy FlexRelay is IronHike's Trail Half Marathon Relay, the perfect first IronHike shared with a partner and the entry point into the Tribe for two Mountain Athletes at a time. This is where you Start Here as a team: 16.5 Miles and 12 Hours, splitting 1,208 stairs per lap (604 up, 604 down) on the AT Approach Trail staircase above the tallest waterfall in Georgia, an entry point built for buddying up, one lap earned together at a time. IronHike is a self-powered Everesting alternative and 29029 alternative in the Southeast, offering elevation-based staircase events from 12 hours to 84 hours, 6,644 to 72,480 feet of vertical gain. This is not a race endurance event: there is no podium, no age group awards, and no finish line prize. Mountain Athletes compete Solo, as a Trail Buddy pair, or as a Trail Family of four using our FlexRelay format, with athletes from 30 states and 3 countries and counting.
