2023 Southern Food Series/ Six 4K Races

Support 4-H as you run races at Camp Jekyll or where you are. Earn points for six races in two series. Receive a cool shirt for each pair of races. Enjoy the namesake food served at the end of the races. Medals will be presented to in-person runners only.

Four races (Shrimp 4K, Grits 4K, Chicken 4K, Waffles 4K) will be run on Jekyll Island. The Jekyll races have a virtual option. Two races (Catfish 4K and Hushpuppies 4K) are Home Run Runs only. 

Three Shirts: Shrimp & Grits, Chicken & Waffles, and Catfish & Hushpuppies. High-quality soft blend shirts with long sleeves. 

Races include:

• April 27 Shrimp 4K. (5:24 pm) - Virtual or in person.
• April 27 Grits 4K (6:14 pm) - Virtual or in person.
• April 28 Chicken 4K (7:34 am) - Virtual or in person.
• April 28 Waffles 4K (8:24 am) - Virtual or in person.
• May 1-2 Catfish 4K - Virtual Only.
• May 1-2 Hushpuppies 4K- Virtual Only.

Race fees:

• 1 Race $28. Includes 1 meal @Jekyll and one shirt- No shirt $20
• 2 Races. $40 Includes 2 meals @ Jekyll and one shirt- No shirt $32
• 3 Races $58 Includes 2 meals @ Jekyll and two shirts - No shirts $50
• 4 Races $64 Includes 2 meals @ Jekyll and two shirts - No shirts $56
• 6 Races $72.Includes 2 meals @ Jekyll and three shirts- No shirts $64

Note that virtual and in-person fees are the same. 

Registration is due 4/8 to be assured of a shirt and meal. Race day registration accepted.

 Race Day Registration is $30 for one race. $48 for two races. $74 for four races. $84 for all six races.
