Description
Mental health struggles often go unseen, yet they affect millions of people every day. Mind Over Miles invites participants to take a meaningful step forward not just physically, but mentally.
The central message of this race is simple: One step for your body. One step for your mind. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nearly one in five adults in the United States experiences a mental illness each year, and research shows that physical activity can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
By joining this virtual 5K, participants show support for mental health awareness and help break the stigma surrounding mental illness. Organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness stress the importance of awareness and community support (NAMI). Walk, jog, or run at your own pace, and be part of a movement that reminds us all that mental health matters.
