The Santa Sleigh 5K is a major fundraising event for the Metter High School Beta Club. Not only are MHS Betas are committed to serving their school and community, but also holding themselves to the highest academic standards and challenging themselves through participation in Beta Leadership and Competitive Events. Each year, a growing number of our Beta members travel to Savannah in order to compete against other members across the state. Once again, we are hoping to be able to send a record number of Betas to compete at State. All members who place top five in their event will qualify to attend The National Beta Convention which will take place in Nashville, Tennessee over the summer. Raised funds will go to help students pay for travel expenses and competition fees for both of these events. Additionally, funds raised aid with costs of our service projects.

Beta Club is a service based organization, and we encourage our members to serve our school and community. We host service projects throughout the year in order for our Betas to participate. This year, our 5k will not only raise money for our club service projects and competitive events, but most importantly one of our very own club members, Lila Ulmer. Lila has been a member of Beta since elementary school, and has been dedicated to her academics and the service of others throughout the years. Now is the time to support one of our own by assisting  her with expenses regarding her upcoming kidney transplant. This year, all entry fees will be donated to assist Lila and her family with medical expenses for this very expensive process.
MHS Beta Club donations are tax deductible. Please consider joining our efforts today with a tax deductible contribution or sign up for our event.
