On June 5, We Run Together
Global Running Day is our holiday; a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together. We’re inviting all runners and walkers to join us on June 5 to mark the occasion, set a goal and cross the finish line.
This year’s event will include an in-person race and virtual features that provide all participants with flexible raceday options. This means you have two ways to celebrate with us:
- Join us for an in-person 5K race on June 5th at 6pm at SRP Park
- Run your own 5K course from any location
Either way, you’ll have the ability to upload and view your results after your run!

All donated proceeds benefit: The RECing Crew
The RECing Crew Special Leisure and Recreation Association was established in 2002 by the families and friends of those with disabilities to offer leisure and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities from the CSRA. These programs enhance the physical, emotional, and social growth of those that participate. Currently, there are 200+ individuals, ranging in the ages from 6-88, that participate in one or more of their programs.

Packet Pick-UP
*Packet Pick-Up and Late Registration will be held at Fleet Feet Augusta (229 Furys Ferry Rd. Augusta, GA 30907) on Tuesday, June 4th from 11:00AM - 6:00PM.
*Only Packet Pick-Up will be available on Wednesday, June 5th from 4:00PM - 5:00PM at SRP Park (there will be no race day registration).
Awards
AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT FOLLOWING THE RACE AT 6:45PM OUT FRONT OF SRP PARK. AWARDS WILL BE PROVIDED TO THE 5K FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD PLACE OVERALL MALE AND FEMALE, AND TO THE 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD PLACE AGE GROUP WINNERS IN THE FOLLOWING 5K CATEGORIES:
14 and under
15-19
20-29
30-39
40-49
50-59
60-69
70+
KIDS 1-MILE RUN WILL HAVE AWARDS FOR 1ND, 2ND, AND 3RD OVERALL MALE AND FEMALE
Awards will be based on CHIP time, not GUN time.
2024 The Big Run 5K Course
The Big Run 5K course will start and finish on Center Street and run an out and back on the Riverfront Greeneway Path. There will be water stations available near the one and two mile marks.
The Kids 1-Mile run will start and finish on Center Street, following an out and back on the Greeneway Path towards the dog park.
