It's time to Run for the Gold!! Grab your family and friends and go for a 1 Mile/5K run/walk with us Friday, April 21, 2023!
The races will begin at Oak Grove Elementary. All 5K run and 1-mile run/walk participants registered by March 31st will receive a T-shirt. T-shirts will not be provided to anyone after March 31st. 5K awards will be given to the top three male/female winners of each age group. Top male/female per grade level will receive awards for the 1 mile, as well as Overall and Masters. Run for the Gold is part of the Rotary & PTC Running Club Grand Prix.
SCHEDULE EVENTS ON RACE DAY - April 21st
- Warm-up starts at 5:45 PM.
- 1 Mile Race begins at 6:00 PM.
- The 5K Race will start at 6:15PM
Race numbers and T-shirts for Oak Grove families will be sent home with students the day of the race. All other participants can pick up race packets on race day. For more information you may visit our website at www.oges.org.
Your participation in this race will support our teachers and teacher programs. During the registration process, you'll be able to designate the teacher(s) you want to honor. The teachers and staff do so much for us every day! Let's get out there and run/walk a 5K for them.
Here’s how it works:
1.) Register and pay $25 to run/walk/crawl the 1 Mile or 5K distance. The live race will occur Friday, April 21, 2023. Registrations made AFTER March 31st will not receive a shirt. They will sell out.

We live in a wonderful city. Peachtree City is full of wooded paths, nature preserves, parks, and lakes. Let's use this as an excuse to go outside and enjoy our community! Register today, and let's celebrate our school and run/walk virtually together!

FAQ
1.) What time does the race start?
- 5:45PM: Warm-Up begins / 6 PM: 1-Mile Walk / 6:15PM: 5K Race
2.) I see there is a $100 Max per household. How can I register on Runsignup.com and only pay $100 for my household of five (or more)?
- At this time, there is no way to max out the registration payment at $100 on Runsignup.com. If you have more than 4 people to register, please fill out a paper application and send in a check/cash to the PTO/Front office for processing. Checks should be made out to OGES PTO.

3.) When will I get my t-shirt?
- We are offering an in-person t-shirt pick-up. Race numbers and T-shirts for Oak Grove families will be sent home with students the day of the race. All other participants can pick up race packets on race day. Virtual Packet Pick-up will be offered as well. Location and Dates to be determined. Please watch your e-mail for updates.
4.) Can you mail my t-shirt?
- No, we will not be mailing out t-shirts.
6.) How late can I register?
- We will close registration on Friday, April 21st at 3 p.m. Please note that all registrations made after March 31st. will not receive a shirt.
7.) I don't want to run and I do not want a t-shirt, but I want to give money to the cause. How do I do this?
- To give, just click the DONATE link at the top of our page to donate. The funds will be handled by the PTO and given to the school (along with all the registration fees). Thank you for supporting Run for the Gold.
- You can also write the school a check as a sponsor for the event. Please call front office for details.
