Dance the Winter Blues Away 5k, Walk and Kids Fun Run!

Come help support Healthy Kids Running Series and Life Moves Dance Company! Race day activities include a basket raffle and silent auction, race shirts, and prizes awarded for best dance inspired costumes! 

About Healthy Kids Running Series: HKRS was founded in 2009 to provide children with a fun introduction to the sport of running in an environment that builds confidence and self-esteem. We believe our cross-country inspired program will encourage kids to adopt a “Get Up and Go” attitude. HKRS is a national, community-based non-profit that provides an inclusive five-week running series for ages 2-14, designed for kids to get active, feel accomplished and lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

About Life Moves Dance Company: Life Moves Dance Company consists of 24 local dancers, ranging in age from 7 through 17. After a successful inaugural season in 2022 - 2023, Life Moves Dance Company is expanding our 2023 - 2024 travels and attendance of conventions to Orlando, Florida, as well as attending multiple dance competitions this season. Your participation or donation for the Dance the Winter Blues Away - 5k, Walk, and Kids Fun Run can help our families cover some of the costs associated with building well-rounded dancers, providing vital dance experience at a convention, grow their determination and confidence by competing against other fantastic dancers, and allow each dancer to make memories that will remain with them for years to come.

Game Changers Running Company will provide the following for this year's event: Overall Male and Female winners and Overall Male and Female Masters winners will receive one pair of shoes each from the store!  Award recognition to Overall Male and Female winners 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  And Overall Male and Female Masters winners 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  

Bib/packet pickup shall take place at Game Changers in Richmond Hill on Friday 2/16/24 from 12-7.  Last minute pickup is at 7:30am on race day at check-in table. Raceday timeline: registration table will open at 7:30am.  Kids fun run shall begin at 8am. 5K run/walk starts approximately at 8:30 am following the kids fun run. Keller Wood Fire Pizza and Kona Ice food trucks shall arrive after 9am until 12pm.  Silent auction/basket raffle shall close at 12pm on race day and winners will be contacted for prize pickup.
