The Music & Moonshine 5K - Atlanta is proud to announce that the BreatheStrong CF organization is this year's beneficiary.

BreatheStrong CF is an Atlanta-based 501c3 nonprofit that provides real-time resources empowering individuals with cystic fibrosis (CF). CF is a progressive, life-shortening, genetic illness that affects the respiratory, digestive, and other body systems. There is no cure. New and better treatments are making the future brighter for many with CF, but there is a need for help today. Nearly 40,000 Americans live with CF and the disease remains expensive to treat. BreatheStrong CF makes it possible for children and adults living with cystic fibrosis to participate in healthy physical activities of their choice by providing Exercise Grants. The Susan C. Burroughs Critical Needs Initiative helps CF families in Georgia struggling with the high cost of groceries and gasoline.

Volunteering for this race can earn you a $50 Visa Gift Card.

Here's how it works: 1) You sign up to volunteer on Volunteer page. 2) You recruit 5 (five) others to volunteer for this race and have them sign up on the Volunteer page and put Your Name when it asks who recruited them. 3) You and your recruits show up on race day and volunteer for the entire race. 4) After the race, if all qualifications are met, Five Star NTP will mail you your $50 Visa Gift card.

This event will be offering Age Group Awards!  In addition to scoring all of the great swag listed above, the top M/F finisher in each age category also receives a custom age group award!   

5 Year Categories: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,. 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over

Important details: 

• Competitive Runners, please start with the first group to be eligible for an age group award. 
• If your event has wave start times, age group winners must start with the first wave to be eligible for a medal. 
• There will be no age group ceremony.  Please look up your results at fivestarntp.com after finishing and if you placed top 1 in your category please visit the registration table to pick up your award.
• Age Group medals will be available for pickup 1 hour after the start of the first wave - age group awards are only available the day of the event and will not be available for shipment once the event has concluded.

FAQ's

• Is the race only for 21+? No, minors are welcome to participate and receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib (these participants will not receive a glass or any alcoholic beverages).
• Are strollers allowed? You are welcome to use a stroller for this event but it is not recommended due to uneven ground on the course and children in strollers can participate for free and do not need to register.
• Is walking allowed? Yes absolutely!
• Are Dogs Allowed?  Dogs are allowed at this event but they will not be able to join you on the course.
