Join us for this year's running of the 9/11 Memorial 5K as we commemorate the lives lost and the heroic acts of first responders for the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. The 9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk raises money for the endowment to preserve the Garden of Reflection memorial for future generations. This is your chance to support the Garden of Reflection and be a part of the 23rd Commemoration of 9/11!

RACE INFORMATION 

• Date: Sunday, September 15, 2024
• Course: Rolling hill course starting and finishing in the Garden of Reflection Memorial Park utilizing streets through local neighborhoods
• Distance: 5k Run / 5k Walk (Optional 1 mile course for those who prefer - the 1-mile course stays on the Garden of Reflection Memorial Park property for the entire race)
• Location: Garden of Reflection Memorial, 1950 Woodside Rd, Lower Makefield, PA
• Registration: Please complete on-line by Friday, September 13th. Limited on-site registration will be available
• Check-in: At least 30 minutes prior to the starting time
• Start Time: 9:00am – Rain or shine
• Fee: $35 (pre-registration through noon 9/13); $40 on 9/14 and day-of race
• Race Shirts: All participants registered by September 1st will receive the new, custom designed, 2024, 9-11 Memorial race-shirt. For registrations received after September 1st, shirts will be provided if and as available.

VIRTUAL OPTION
For those unable to join us for the in-person race, you may join via the Virtual Option. From Friday, September 13 – Monday, September 16th, take up the challenge and run or walk 1 mile, 5K, 5 miles, or as many miles as you can. This is something that can be done by anyone, anywhere (no matter where in the world you live or are traveling to), any time night or day, any distance, at any pace, during any # of days. You can walk or run any combination of days and distances that works best for you. You can even do it indoors on a treadmill - so just about anyone can do it!
Cost: $40 per participant 
Shirt: All participants registered by September 1st will receive the custom designed 2024 Garden of Reflection 5K race shirt. Shirts will be mailed to all participants in the Virtual Challenge, or you can pick them up during the pre-race packet pick-up. For those who register after September 1st, shirts will be provided if available.
Prizes: All participants are eligible for prizes selected by random drawing during the virtual challenge

5K and 1Mile COURSE
The course starts and ends near the Garden of Reflection Memorial.
It is relatively flat & fast and takes place on local, neighborhood streets.

Awards will be presented to winners following the race starting at approximately 9:50am. You must be present to receive an award. Awards will not be mailed.
