Honor. Thank. Perspire.
The 2022 Operation Education Virtual 5K is a student-led initiative to raise funds for Honor Flight Chicago's mission: We build awareness and appreciation of the debt of gratitude America owes its veterans for their service and sacrifice for our nation. The centerpiece of our programming is the life-changing Day of Honor in Washington, D.C., visiting the memorials built in tribute to the service of our veterans from WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Join us as we Honor. Thank. Inspire.
STEP 1: Register as an individual or start a team with your school
STEP 2: Complete your Virtual 5K between October 1 and Veterans Day, and upload your results, or plan to participate IN-PERSON at Morton College on October 1!
STEP 3: Receive your Operation Education 5K gear and Honor Flight Chicago SWAG. Virtual 5K participants will receive their packet in the mail after the conclusion of the in-person event, and in-person participants will have day-of packet pickup. Any participant who signs up for the Virtual 5K throughout October and up through Veterans Day will have their packet shipped to them right away.

The 2022 Operation Education Virtual 5K can be done from anywhere, and we are excited to offer an opportunity for camaraderie with an in-person event once again this year.
VIRTUAL 5K:
Register at the links above, then complete your Virtual 5K race at your convenience anytime between October 1 and November 11. You could even do it on a treadmill! Upload your results when you have finished. Packets will be mailed to Virtual 5K participants following the conclusion of the in-person race and immediately after registration for anyone signing up after the in-person race is held.
HOW TO SUBMIT VIRTUAL RESULTS
IN-PERSON 5K:
The in-person race will take place at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, at Morton College in Cicero! The address is 3801 S Central Ave, Cicero, IL 60804. Packet pickup will be the day of the race at the race location. Please note, Race Day Registration is available at a cost of $50 for ALL participants regardless of age.
PACKET AND SWAG:
Operation Education 5K participants will receive a race packet with an exclusive race tech t-shirt, Challenge Coin, bib number and HFC swag!
