Tour de Seven Fall into Fitness 5K

This year our 5k Run/Walk will be in Golconda, IL.  The 5k is a moderate blacktop course mostly level and flat with a couple of small inclines.  The route starts at Golden Circle and traverses downtown Golconda with the majority on the scenic Ohio riverfront.  The route turns around at the old Lockmasters cottages and follows the same route back ending at the Golden Circle. This route is stroller and wheelchair friendly.   Pets on a leash are welcome.  Hydration/First Aid Stations will be available.  The one mile "Shrimp Crawl" will start at 8:30AM.  It is a free event, and a t-shirt can be ordered for $10.  You're welcome to stay in Golconda to enjoy the 18th Annual Shrimp Festival on Main Street after the 5k. There will be plenty of fresh Southern Illinois shrimp cooked more ways than you can imagine!  Locally grown prawns will be available for purchase.  But there is much more than just shrimp to eat. You will also find award-winning BBQ along with corndogs, funnel cakes, and much more.  There will be helicopter & carriage rides and music & entertainment.    There is sure to be something everyone in the family will enjoy!
