Event Description
Razom Freedom Run 5K — Chicago 2026
Inaugural Chicago Edition
Since 2022, the Razom Freedom Run 5K has united communities across the United States every August to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day — bringing together runners of all abilities in the spirit of freedom. Founded by Ukrainian Olympian Nelya Neporadna, the race was first held in Hollywood, South Florida in 2022.
In 2026, the Ukrainian Running Club Chicago proudly hosts the city's inaugural edition.
This year's race marks two extraordinary milestones: the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States(1776–2026) and the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine (1991–2026). Two nations. Two stories of freedom. One finish line.
The 5K is open to everyone — seasoned runners, families with strollers, and first-time participants alike. Wear your colors, carry your flag, and take every step in the name of freedom.
