3rd Annual St. Francis of Assisi 5K

Please join us for our 3rd Annual St. Francis of Assisi 5K! This is an opportunity for you to get some exercise, have fun and help local shelter animals. Pets are more than welcome, they are encouraged! A photo area will be setup for you to capture memories with your friends, family and pets. Free refreshments for both you and your pet will be available before and after the race. This year we will be welcoming Mrs. Proctor's SNO Shack. They will be selling gourmet hot chocolate and baked items! We will be raffling off 2 different gift baskets during the event.  One basket will be pet themed and the other will be runner themed. St. Francis CARE and the Saline Co animal shelter will be bringing animals that are currently up for adoption. We will offer a map of the race coarse and the race path will be clearly marked for the participants. Proceeds will be spilt between St. Francis CARE Animal Shelter in Murphysboro and our very own Saline Co. animal shelter. Other donations such as dog food, cat food, liter, pet toys or anything pet related will also go to the shelters just bring your donations to the race with you! The top 3 winners from each age group will receive a medal. Age groups will be divided into 4 different sections. Ages 5-19, 20-34, 35-50, and 50+. T-shirts are included in the registration price when you register for the race before October 4th. We hope to see you there!
