We are raising funds for the Broken Chains Mission which exist to partner with the local church in Costa Rica to strengthen churches, provide for children in poverty who have been abused and neglected, and rescue children enslaved in human trafficking.

This mission was founded by Shannon Bopp, Josh Conley and Estban Portugues

Shannon Bopp

Shannon first heard of the evils of human trafficking while attending a church conference in California. He immediately heard God speak to his heart to help rescue children enslaved in trafficking. He co-founded Broken Chains in Pocora, Costa Rica and is partnering with the local natives to rescue abused and neglected children. He is also the preacher at Evergreen Christian Church in Salem, IL.

Josh Conley

Josh is the co-founder of Broken Chains in Pocora, Costa Rica and desires to partner with the local church in Costa Rica to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has a heart to see the church make an impact around the world and believes that a saving relationship with Jesus Christ will heal every broken heart. He is also the preacher at Kinmundy Christian Church in Kinmundy, IL.


Estban Portugues

Estban grew up as a street kid in Pocora, Costa Rica. Later in life, he gave his life to Jesus. He became a preacher and planted a church in Pocora 8 years ago. The church is located in an area of poverty. He has a heart to reach street kids with the gospel. He lives in Pocora with his wife and 2 children.
