- $10 by December 1, $12 by December 12, $15 Race Day
5K Run/Walk Start - 8:30 AM

Santa Kids Dash

NEW - Santa Kids Dash

Youth 12 and under can enter the Santa Kids' Dash. This event is untimed.

All finishers 12 and under will receive a Santa Hat once they cross the finish line.

This out and back 1K course on Broadway will start at 8:10 AM

$10 by December 1, $12 by December 12, $15 Race Day (this does not include a shirt)

Event Benefits

Race the Region has partnered with the Chesterton Fire Department for the Toys for Tots campaign. The Chesterton Fire Department aims to fill a semi-truck with toys to distribute to local families in need. The first 250 registered participants that donate a toy(s) (minimum value $20) will receive one SANTA HAT during early packet pick-up (Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 from the Extra Mile Fitness Company) or during Race Day packet pick-up will receive a Santa Hat. Registration and Packet Pick Up

Online Registration: All participants are required to register online. Online registration will continue to be available until 8:25 a.m. on race day

  - $30 by December 1, $35 by December 12, $40 Race Day
Pre-Race Packet Pick Up:
- Dates: Thursday, December 11 and Friday, December 12 from 10 AM to 6 PM

Onsite Packet Pick Up on Race Day:
- Starts: 7 AM until 8:25 AM

Perks and Awards

Registration Perks:

Early Registration (by November 26, 2024):** Ability to pick out a race shirt.
Late Registration:** Choose from available shirts or opt for no shirt.
5K Timed Run/Walk Participants:** Receive a finisher's medal.
Toy Donation (minimum value $20):** Receive a Santa Hat.
Non-Timed Kids Dash Participants (12 and under):** Receive a Santa Hat.

Event Features:

Timing mats at the Starting Line and Chip Timing for Finish Results.
Live results via text and email messaging.
Directional signs at all turns.
No processing fee for online signup.
Finisher photo and video.

Awards:

Unique Awards: Custom awards, including miniature Festivus Poles.
Top Overall: Male and Female.
Top Masters: Male and Female.
Top 3 in Age Groups:
- 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69,70-74, 75 and up

Award Collection:

Awards can be claimed within 14 days following the event at The Extra Mile Fitness Co., 3400 Calumet, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
Unclaimed awards after 14 days will be donated or recycled.
Race shirts not picked up on or before race day are not guaranteed.

**Take note**: The race course will remain open for competition for 1hour and 15 minutes from the official start of the race. After this time the race competition will conclude all course support will end.
