Hub City Half & 5K - Special Features:
* Hub City Races Finisher Medals for all participants. .
* Wicking/tech shirts to all registered by September 12th.
* Chip start timed race (you will cross mats at start & finish).
* USATF certified Half marathon distance. The 5K is not certified.
* Race Awards for Half/5K for Top Overall, Top Master (40+) & Top 3 Finishers in each age group
* Water stops with both water & sports drinks
* Post race snacks provided by Carriage Court Pizza
* DJ Music at the start & along the course
Timeline:
6:00 am – Registration/Sign In opens
7:00 am – Half Marathon starts
7:40 am – National Anthem & Remarks
8:00 am – 5K starts
Race Awards after the last finisher of the 5K. We will do a “rolling” awards ceremony for the Half marathon as results come in.
Half & 5K Course: A chip start (you will cross mats at start & finish), timed race on the streets of scenic Crown Point, IN Half & 5K are an out and back course. Starts and finishes in Lake Co. Fairgrounds.
Suggested 3 1/2 hour time limit to complete Half marathon (16 min pace). The course will be a rolling street closure. If you should fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.
2021 Hub City Half: Thru June 30th: $55
July 1st - September 12th: $65
September 13th - Event Day: $65 (no shirt)
2021 Hub City 5K: $30 thru September 12th
September 13th - Event Day: $30 (no shirt)
