Run for Ryan 5K Fun Run/Walk

Run to help one of our own. On Thursday February 28th, Ryan Gater experienced a runner's worst nightmare as he was hit by a car while out for his run with a friend. Every step forward takes courage and determination, especially for someone who faced unexpected challenges. Our dear friend and dedicated single father, who has always been there for his children and community now needs us. As he bravely recovers from being hit while running, his journey requires not just physical healing, but also emotional and financial support. He is unable to work due to his injuries and is still trying to determine the full extent of what his recovery may require. Together, let's rally around him for a fun run on Saturday April 5, 2024 at Buckner Park at 8:30 am. 

Your support will not only help him heal but will also remind him that he's not alone in this journey. Our running community is amazing and we thank you for being part of his support network and helping him stride towards a brighter future. 

There will be no cost for the fun run and all donations will go directly to Ryan to assist him at this time. There will be a 5K course marked and we will have a water station on the course for runners and walkers.  Runners and walkers can begin to arrive at 8:00 and meet the organizers in the pavilion. All attendees must sign the waiver form through registration here or paper copies will be available the morning of the event. All registered attendees will be able to enter into a drawing for door prizes after the run. Please stick around enjoy some refreshments and see if you win a prize.
