On the morning of Saturday, May 24, 2025, runners and walkers will come together at Wicker Park in Highland, Indiana, for the third annual "We Fight Together: Drug Poisoning/Overdose Awareness 3K Walk/Run." This event unites the community in the fight against the devastating impact of drug poisoning and overdose, honoring lives lost, supporting those affected, and promoting awareness, education, and prevention.
All funds raised will support Sounds of Sarah Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing prevention, education, and advocacy focused on the dangers of illicit fentanyl, counterfeit drugs, and addiction. Our mission is to raise awareness of the nationwide opioid epidemic, provide prevention services, and ensure the public has access to life-saving information and resources. Beyond the tragic fatalities caused by drug poisoning, countless nonfatal overdoses occur, leaving lasting emotional and economic consequences for families and communities. With fentanyl poisoning remaining the leading cause of death among individuals aged 18 to 45, as reported by the CDC, this crisis demands urgent action.100% of donations directly support Sounds of Sarah's programs, including Link4Life and the EMBRACE program, expanding resources and outreach to save lives. All donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
