In the best interest of the health and welfare of individuals, teams, sponsors and staff, the Cancer Resource Centre has cancelled its annual Unite & Fight walk/ 5K run fundraiser[AA1] The[AA2] next Unite & Fight event will take place Sunday, October 3, 2021.
“The Cancer Resource Centre’s Advisory Board responsible for coordinating Unite & Fight has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic in the hopes that we would be able to safely host all of the activities involved in the annual walk and fun run. Based on where the state of Indiana is today in terms of holding large gatherings, we have made the decision to cancel the 2020 event. We want to thank Community Healthcare System, our friends, family, neighbors, visitors, volunteers, business sponsors, nonprofit organizations and vendors for their continued support through the years. We look forward to October 3, 2021, and making the next Unite & Fight, bigger and better than ever.”

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, the Cancer Resource Centre will sponsor its 16th Annual Unite & Fight Walk and 5K Run to be held at Munster High School Football Field. Participants help the Centre continue to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. The Cancer Resource Centre is a place where those touched by cancer receive support, education and encouragement at no cost. Over the last 15 years, our corporate sponsors, walkers and fun runners have raised more than $1 million for the Cancer Resource Centre.
We invite you to participate in this fun, family-style event. Your support will help make this year’s event a success. You can choose from a 1 to 2.5 mile Walk through Community Park or for those wanting to pick up the pace, a 3.1 mile/5k Run, for kids under 10 years of age - a 100 yard dash!
We encourage your employees to begin organizing Walk teams now! Teams can be either corporate or family. Entertainment, T-shirts, family fun, vendors, music and food will be provided for all participants with a minimum donation of $30 per person.
Note** T-Shirts will be available at the day of the event. Hospital team members will be able to pick-up their shirts from their team captains.**
