Chemo Buddies HOPEFEST presented by Ascension St. Vincent Hospital is back for the 7th year!
Hopefest is a community event held each year to bring together everyone affected by cancer - survivors, patients, caregivers, family members, friends, and co-workers. We come together as a community to support, celebrate, and encourage everyone affected bu cancer.
Chemo Buddies' annual Hopefest will be held on April 26, 2025 at Friedman Park in Newburgh.
The day will kick off with the 5K through the park at 9:00am. Our signature event - the Survivor’s Parade will begin 10:30am. Immediately following the parade will be the start of the 1-mile walk at 11:00am
Throughout the day enjoy checking out some cool cars at the cruise-in, eat something from one of the delicious food trucks, enjoy some relaxing treatments in the self-care tent, and let the kids enjoy the inflatables and face painting. It’s sure to be a great event!
Please note: The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds. Shirts, medals, and other swag are available only as supplies last. Please register before April 1 to ensure you will receive these items! Those who register after April 1 can check at the registration table on event day for availability!
T-Shirts and medals
All registrations for the 5K, 1-mile walk, and Survivor’s Parade will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!
Participation medals will be given to the first 200 5K finishers.
All registrations on or before April 1, 2024, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Those who register after April 1 can check at registration the day of the event for t-shirt availability.
Can I Walk the 5K?
Yes, just no pets, please!
Do I need to register my child?
Ages 3 and under are free to participate.

Before Event Packet Pickup - at our office 3700 Bellemeade Ave Suite 118
Packet pickup will begin on Tuesday, April 22 continue until Thursday, April 24h during office hours 9AM-3PM. NO PICK UP ON FRIDAY APRIL 26TH! See above for race day pick-up.
PLEASE TRY TO PICK UP BEFORE THE DAY OF EVENT!
Registration Check-In on Event Day
If you did not pick up your race packet in advance, please check in at the registration tables before the start times. The registration table will be located near the race start area. 5K check-in will begin at 8:15AM and end at 8:50AM. 1-mile walkers and Survivor’s Parade must check-in/register by 10:00am
