🍂 The Trails Are Calling: Sodalis Scurry Is Back (With Timing)! 🏃‍♀️

Get ready to hit the dirt, gravel, and grass trails at the Sodalis Scurry 10K, 5K & Kids Scavenger Hunt—a fall favorite returning Saturday, November 1st at 4 PM.

The Sodalis Scurry winds through the trails of Echo Hollow Nature Park—formerly known as Sodalis Nature Park—named after the spooky but adorable Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis), an endangered species that calls the area home. This protected habitat is full of natural beauty, wildlife, and just the right amount of mystery to make your race day feel like a Halloween adventure! With trails of dirt, gravel, and grass, plus the occasional bat overhead, this is the perfect setting for a fall race that’s equal parts fun, festive, and just a little bit eerie.

And this year, we’re excited to announce: Official race timing is BACK!
Whether you're chasing a new PR or just looking to enjoy a crisp, scenic trail run, this event now has something for everyone. Bonus points will be awarded for those who come to race in costume!

Kids Scavenger Hunt

The Kids Scavenger Hunt will begin at 4:00 PM at the park’s shelter. Young explorers will make their way across the boardwalk and onto the wooded trails in search of both wildlife and hidden treasures. Each child will receive a checklist of items to spot along the way and have the chance to find and keep a small treasure from the course. Designed for children ages 10 and under, this activity is a fun, low-key way to enjoy nature and a bit of Halloween excitement. Costumes are welcome—and kids in costume earn bonus points for style and spirit!
