Description

5K Run for Hope event in the Town of Trail Creek on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The inaugural event theme will be “I’ll Be There for You.”  Our goal is to raise suicide awareness and help to stop the stigma surrounding mental health issues and care in LaPorte County, Indiana.

**Note:  T-shirt and finisher medals not guaranteed for registrations after 08/01/24**

Swanson Center has been the community mental health center for LaPorte County for more than 50 years, and, as such, provides complete mental and behavioral health services to those who live and/or work in LaPorte County. It is our hope that through this event, we will help break the silence surrounding suicide, stop the stigma, and raise awareness that there is hope for those struggling with various mental health concerns.

WE WILL BE HAVING EARLY PACKET PICK UP THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT!!

Pick up your RACE DAY packet at the Michigan City Swanson Center location (7224 W 400 N, Michigan City, 46360), on Friday, September 13th, from 5pm-7pm.

Packet Pick Up will take place in the back pavilion, behind the main building. Upon arrival, follow the signs to the designated pickup area.

If you’re not able to pick up your packet early, no worries!  You can also get your packet in the morning on the day of the event. Registration tables will be available with packets for pickup there as well.

If you have any questions, please reach out to either  Jennifer Heath (jheath@swansoncenter.org) or Nicole Hufford (nporras@swansoncenter.org).
