Historic Elizabeth Main Street 5K
Event Description
Join us for this family-friendly event! The 5K run/walk will begin and end on Elizabeth's historic Main Street, featuring an exciting course that is a mix of pavement and dirt for varied terrain. The Family Color Run will take place in Running Creek Park, starting on Main Street.
Be sure to hang out post-race and enjoy a Flippin Flapjacks breakfast, grab a free beer at our local brewery, browse the vendors, and have fun with games for all ages. Don't forget to explore the many great local businesses we have along Main Street.

Event Medical Support
Medical officials are prepared to treat injuries that may occur during this event, including a medical tent and personnel at the start/finish line area and medical staff on the course.
Parking
Street parking is free and is available throughout downtown Elizabeth. Please be aware that parking will not be available along Main Street between the intersections of Elm Street and Spruce Street.
Pet Policy
We love our furry friends! Pets are welcome to join you on Main Street and enjoy the festivities. However, for the safety and comfort of all participants, pets are not allowed on the race course. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Commemorative Finisher's Medal
Every participant will receive a special commemorative medal featuring the historic D&NO Railroad train and celebrating Elizabeth's 135th birthday. This unique keepsake honors our town's rich railroad heritage that helped shape the community we know today.
As you race along Elizabeth's historic Main Street, you'll be running through living history. While the original train tracks may be gone, the spirit of that era lives on in the beautiful historic buildings that line your route—many dating back to the railroad's heyday. Your medal serves as a lasting reminder of both your athletic achievement and your connection to Elizabeth's remarkable past.

5K Route Description
Join us for this family-friendly event! The 5K run/walk begins and ends on Elizabeth's historic Main Street, offering participants an exciting mix of pavement and varied terrain.
5K Course: Starting on Main Street, runners will transition onto the scenic Running Creek Park trail via Spruce Street. The course takes you south through beautiful natural terrain before looping back north toward Evans Park. From there, you'll return through Running Creek Park and finish back on historic Main Street, surrounded by the charm of Elizabeth's 135-year heritage.
Family Color Run: Perfect for all ages, the Family Color Run also starts on Main Street and utilizes the Running Creek Park trail system for a shorter, fun-filled adventure with colorful powder stations along the way.
