Trail Conditions Update
Update: we heard from folks yesterday at early packet pickup that the concrete parts of the trail look good. We will update this afternoon if we see ice patches anywhere. Half marathoners, please definitely check out our update for the soft surface section of the course between Aid 5 and the turnaround so you know if you might see a little mud.

Benefiting Charity
For more than 166,000 Colorado children living in poverty, some of the most treasured traditions of childhood are not always an affordable luxury. When keeping the heat on in the dead of winter and having running water take precedents over presents or when a child's wish list includes things that are needed (like new socks or a toothbrush) rather than items that are desired, it's no wonder that many children return to school after the break feeling less excitable to arrive to class to show off their new toys to their peers.
The simple act of celebrating each and every child, despite their circumstances, is at the heart of Precious Gift. When keeping the heat on in the dead of winter and having running water take precedents over presents or when a child's wish list includes things that are needed (like new socks or a toothbrush) rather than toys, it's no wonder many children feel left out during the holidays.
