Run With Us to Keep Kids Safe!
The Song family and SongStrong race team invite you to run or walk in the 5th SongStrong: Keep Kids Safe 5K. This exciting event takes place in beautiful Guilford, CT and features panoramic views of Long Island Sound and the historic Guilford Green. After the race, enjoy food, drinks, music, a trophy ceremony and much more!
A race t-shirt will be provided to all 5K entries received by May 25, 2024. Shirt provision after this date shall be subject to availability. Fun Run entrants before May 27, 2024 will be given the option to purchase a race shirt for $5. Early bird registrants before December 31, 2023, will be offer a choice of race shirt colors!
Entry Fees
- Registration - Available online until 09:30 am June 8, 2024. (Note: there shall be no paper based entries on race morning)
- 5K:
- Special early bird entry before Jan 1, 2024 - $20! Plus, early birds may select a race shirt in a choice of colors!
- 15yrs and up before March 31, 2024 - $25 ($5 discount for under 15 years)
- 15yrs and up before May 31, 2024 - $30, thereafter $35 ($5 discount for under 15 years)
- Note: Discounts will be displayed at checkout.
- Kids Fun Run - $10

If you get 5 friends to sign up using a special referral link that will be assigned during registration, and you will receive a refund of up to $20.00 as our Thank You!
Race Schedule
- Advance race number pick up - Available on Friday, June 7 from 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm at Orangetheory Fitness, 1059 Boston Post Rd, Guilford, CT 06437
- Race Day Check In - Check in on race day to collect your bib and race shirt starting at 08:30 am at the Guilford Fairgrounds
- Kids Fun Run Start - 09:45 am
- 5K Start - 10:00 am
- Post race refreshments shall be available immediately after the finish
- Award ceremony - At approximately 11:00 am
Results and Awards
- Results will be streamed live during the event to this registration page, enabling participants to access to their time and placement via any mobile device.

- Age Category Winners Male & Female:
- 14 and under
- 15-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60-69
- 70-over
Note: SongStrong supports gender neutrality at events and respects participants’ preference to decline assigning gender within the registration process. Participants in this 5K may select the following Gender Options: Male, Female, Nonbinary. By selecting “Nonbinary”, participants will display in the overall results but will not be listed in an age group or be eligible for age group awards.
Become a Fundraiser
Please consider becoming a fundraiser either individually or as part of a team and set a target goal to raise. Details on how to do this will be displayed during registration. Trophies shall be awarded to the top fundraising team and the team with the most creative outfits!

- TURN RIGHT ONTO STONEHOUSE LN.
- TURN LEFT ONTO OLD WHITFIELD ST.
- TURN RIGHT ONTO SUMMER ST.
- TURN LEFT ONTO WHITFIELD ST.
- PARTICIPANTS SHOULD STAY TO THEIR LEFT
- CONTINUE TO GUILFORD MOORING/ROTHBERG INSTITUTE, TURN AROUND AND FOLLOW WHITFIELD STREET NORTH.
- PARTICIPANTS SHOULD STAY TO THEIR LEFT
- FOLLOW WHITFIELD STREET TO BOSTON ST
- TURN RIGHT ON BOSTON ST, THEN TURN RIGHT ONTO LOVERS LN
- TURN RIGHT ONTO STONEHOUSE LN AND RIGHT INTO FAIR GROUND
- FINISH IN THE FAIRGROUND ACCESS ROAD HEADING NORTH

Ethan Miller Song Foundation
We Love You Ethan!
The race celebrates the life of Ethan Song who passed away in January 2018 at the age of 15. All proceeds go to the Ethan Miller Song Foundation, a non-profit that develops and supports Ethan’s causes and programs that keep kids safe. www.songstrong.org for more info.
Volunteer
Become an Event Volunteer!
Besides participants, we also need volunteers to help with advance packet pick up and on race day. It's a great way to help make a difference without breaking out into a sweat! If you don't wish to run, how about helping out?
Please use the Volunteer Registration Link to confirm when and where you can help. If you select one of the race day slots, please come to Race HQ at the Fairground first to check in, before reporting to your assigned location. All the volunteer locations are walk-able from the Fairgrounds.
