21st Century C.A.R.E. presents this in-person 5K & 2-Mile walk begins and ends at Jaycee Park, one of Cape Coral's most popular water front park destinations. Registration will be capped at 250 runners/walkers. Participants also have the option to participate virtually in the 5K or 2-Mile walk.
Head & Neck cancer is diagnosed in more than 50,000 people in the U.S. yearly. Head & Neck cancer is preventable. Head & Neck cancer is treatable. All funds raised will be used locally to provide financial assistance to Head & Neck cancer patients in need and to conduct Head & Neck cancer screenings in Southwest Florida.
Strict Covid-19 guidelines will be followed at this event. See below for the events Covid-19 procedures.
Please be advised when registering for this event, that the event coordinator reserves the right to cancel the In-Person event or convert it to an all virtual event based on the prevailing CDC and governmental recommendation related to Covid-19. To the extent that the event is cancelled or converted to an all virtual event there will be no refunds and your registration fee will be deemed a donation.


Online registration closes at Midnight on April 23, 2021 or when the 250 participant cap is reached for "in-person" event.  Virtual options will remain open until April 24th. 

Packet pick up will run for each of 2 days prior to the race to space out the runners coming into the packet pick up facility.  Face masks must be worn for packet pick up and only one person should go into the facility to pick up the packet.

Covid-19 Procedures
  • All volunteers, staff, and participants will wear face coverings/masks at the race site and will comply with recommended CDC social distancing guidelines.
  • Runners and walkers will be allowed to remove their face coverings after they cross the start line and must put them back on after crossing the finish line.  At all times, the participants should observe social distancing as much as possible.
  • Registrants will sign a form upon registering that they will comply with this Covid-19 plan.  If they refuse to sign or are not following the instructions the day of the race, they will not be allowed to participate.
  • Participants will be asked not to arrive on race day more than 45 minutes before the start time.  They should also leave the venue immediately after the event.
  • Winners will be announced on the 21st Century C.A.R.E. website and Facebook page immediately after the event.  The awards will be mailed to the winners.
  • Packet pick up will run for each of 2 days prior to the race to space out the runners coming into the packet pick up facility.  Face masks must be worn for packet pick up and only one person should go into the facility to pick up the packet
  • Bottled water only will be available at the water stop.
  • Temperatures will be taken the day of the race once the participant arrives at the race site.   If a participant’s temperature is 100.3 degrees or higher, it will be taken again.  If it is still high the participant will be asked to leave the premises.
  • Each participant will sign a Covid-19 symptom form 2-3 days prior to race (this will be emailed to the participants and will also be available on race day).
  • Food will be bottled water and granola bars.
  • Hand sanitizer will be widely available at the registration table during packet pick-up.
  • There will be a rolling time-trial start for runners first, then for walkers.
  • Vendor tables will be spaced at least 6 ft apart.
  • The chance drawing will be held on line only.   Winners will be announced on the C.A.R.E. Facebook page and website.  Winners will be contacted individually to make arrangements to claim their prizes
  • There will be no refunds.

The first 100 participants registered are guaranteed a Unisex Dry-fit shirt.

Awards (In-Person 5K Only)
There will NO AWARDS CEREMONY RACE DAY.  QR codes will be available onsite for participants to check LIVE results via mobile phone.

Grand Masters (50 & Over)
Senior Grand Masters (60 & Over)
The first 3 Male and Female finishers in the (In-Person) 5K timed run in each of the age categories below will receive a medal:
11 & Under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & Older.
Virtual Participants
Virtual participants may take advantage Live Phone Tracking, GPS Progress Alerts and Cheers by downloading and using the RaceJoy app on your phone.
Virtual participants may also enter results manually or choose the option to complete the event without entering a time by going to "Results" on the event website and clicking "Submit Virtual Results".
Times must be posted before April 24, 2021 (11:59PM).  
*For participants utilizing the RaceJoy app, results will be submitted automatically upon completion of the event.

This event will be timed with the ChronoTrack Bib Tag Technology. Your Timing Strip is attached to your race number.  Do not remove this tag, fold or wrinkle your race number. Do not cover your race number (Tag) with a jacket.  Simply pin all four corners to the front of your running shirt.
