ABOUT THE RACE

Join us for the Harns Marsh 5K & 12K, a unique trail running experience through one of Lehigh Acres’ most recognizable natural areas.

Runners will experience open trails, wide skies, marsh views, native vegetation, and the wildlife that make Harns Marsh such a special place to run.

New for 2027 — we are adding a 12K!

The 12K will be a single-lap course and will NOT consist of two laps of the 5K course. The longer route will utilize the West Marsh, giving 12K participants the opportunity to experience even more of the Harns Marsh area.

Whether you choose the 5K or take on the new 12K, expect a scenic course and a race-day atmosphere built around community, outdoor recreation, and one of Lehigh Acres’ most unique natural settings.

WINGS OVER WATER FESTIVAL

Race day is about more than just the run! The Harns Marsh 5K & 12K will take place in conjunction with the LAMSID Wings Over Water (WOW) Festival. Following the race, participants and families can stick around and enjoy festival activities including:

• Touch-a-Truck
• Fishing Derby
• Local Vendors
• Community Organizations
• Family Activities
• And more!

Cross the finish line, celebrate your race, and then spend the rest of the morning enjoying the WOW Festival.

SUPPORTING LEHIGH ACRES

Proceeds from the Harns Marsh 5K & 12K support Unite Lehigh and its mission to bring additional community events, opportunities, partnerships, and economic growth to Lehigh Acres. By participating in the race, you are helping support continued efforts to build a stronger and more connected Lehigh Acres community.

12K

New for 2027!

The 12K will feature a single-lap course utilizing the West Marsh. The 12K is NOT two laps of the 5K course.

OVERALL AWARDS

Awards will be presented to:

1st 2nd & 3rd Place Overall Male

1st 2nd & 3rd Place Overall Female

Overall awards will be determined by Gun Time.

AGE GROUP AWARDS

Age group awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Male and Female in each age group.

Age group awards will be determined by Net Chip Time.
