Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series 5k/8k/10k

Get ready to conquer the cold and tackle the trails at the Fox Valley Winter Challenge Trail Series! We're excited to return to the original 5K, 8K, and 10K format for 2025, based on your feedback. This year, we're bringing back the three-race lineup that you loved, making it our most challenging series yet!

We kick off the series on January 25, 2025, with a heart-pumping 5K at the beautiful Dick Young Forest Preserve in Batavia, IL. Next up, on February 8, 2025, push your limits with a tough 8K at Oakhurst Forest Preserve in Aurora, IL. Finally, we’ll wrap it up on March 9, 2025, with an epic 10K at Hickory Knolls Discovery Center in St. Charles, IL.

Whether you're a seasoned trail runner or new to the game, this series is designed to test your winter running skills while offering a rewarding experience. You can choose to take on one or two races, or go all in and tackle all three by signing up for the Trail Series Combo. The trails are rugged, the views are beautiful, and the challenge is real.

Every participant will earn a finisher’s medal and exclusive winter swag to commemorate their achievement. And if you complete the entire series, you'll receive the three medals that combine into one and some bonus swag as a reward for your dedication.
