The 12th Annual For Kids' Sake Superhero 5K is back! This year's Superhero 5K will be a hybrid race - you can join us at the starting line on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 9am at Turley Park (1010 N. Glenview Dr, Carbondale, IL) or run anywhere in the galaxy!
Superheroes save lives, which is exactly what you do when you participate in this race. All proceeds benefit orphans and students in Bangladesh. A Hybrid Superhero 5K - How it Works
Step 1. Register
In-Person: Select the "For Kids' Sake Superhero 5K" to attend the in-person event. Pick up your t-shirt on Friday, Oct. 7 from 5pm-6pm at Turley Park (1010 N. Glenview Dr., Carbondale, IL) or on the day of the race, Oct. 8, at Turley Park starting at 8am.
Virtual: Select the Virtual FKS Superhero 5K to participate virtually, no matter where you live. T-shirts can be shipped to your door.
Step 2. Fundraise for the kids whether you're joining the in-person event or participating virtually: https://runsignup.com/Race/Donate/48922/BecomeFundraiser
Step 3. Run or Walk
In-Person: Join other superheroes at 9am on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Turley Park to run our certified 5K Route with chip timing.
Virtual: Run/walk the 5K distance anywhere in the galaxy and log your results online by Saturday, Oct. 8. Compare your race results with all other virtual participants.
Step 4. Share a picture of your run to Facebook or Instagram tagging @forkidssakeusa
Step 5. Win Awards
In-Person and Virtual: Can win fundraising prizes
In-Person: Compete for fastest race time within 5 year-age categories and for the fastest team
We will announce all winners at the in-person Awards Ceremony, October 8 at Turley Park. Following the award ceremony, winners will be contacted and results posted online.

Registration Fee: Adults $25, Kids $15 (17 & under)
Register by Monday, Sept. 26 to guarantee your t-shirt
Race packet pick-up: Friday, Oct. 7, 5-6pm, at Turley Park, 1010 N. Glenview Dr, Carbondale, IL OR shipping available
Day-of Registration opens at 8:00am; t-shirts available while supplies last

Fundraise
Be a real life superhero by donating and/or fundraising for the kids. Creating a fundraising page takes minutes, and it's an opportunity for you to save lives in Bangladesh. Sign Up Here!
All money raised will go toward providing essential services for kids in Bangladesh like covering their daily meals, clean water, shelter, clothing, education and medical care. Raise $375+ to help support a kid for 6 months & take home a FKS outdoor blanket.
The Route
Local Superheroes: Registration opens at 8am on Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Turley Park Pavilion, 1010 N. Glenview Dr, Carbondale, IL 62901. We'll take off from the starting line at 9am and the Award Ceremony will follow.
Virtual Registrants: You can run/walk anywhere in the galaxy! Run through your neighborhood, on a treadmill, on the beach, or feel free to use the route outlined below to guarantee you're running the 5K distance. Track your time and log your results online by Oct. 8, 2022.
