This event will be an ALL OUTDOOR event.
Course starts and finishes in parking lot of Hall High School in Spring Valley, Illinois. Course is an out and back on paved city streets with traffic control at most intersections. . Terrain is mostly flat with series of gentle rolling hills. Course is certified distance. Race is chip timed with race results posted on Starved Rock Runners web site.
Start will be waves of 10 (subject to change), participants socially distanced starting one minute apart. Wave assignments will be on a first come first serve basis. Masks are required at registration, packet pick up, and at the start line. Once on the course masks may be removed at the participants discretion. Social distancing must be observed while on the course. Masks are required after crossing the finish line.
Registration cost is $25.00 if registered on or before March 10th, $30.00 through and including race day. Swag will be a long sleeve race T-shirt. Shirts are only guaranteed to those who per-register on or before March 10th.
Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, the Overall Male & Female Finishers, & the top male and female finisher from Spring Valley. Age Divisions: (one each for male & female) 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. There will be no awards ceremony at the race. Once results are determined, awards can be collected, or they will be mailed to participants.
