Dear Freedom Rising 5K Participants,
It is with heavy hearts that we have to let you know that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Freedom Rising 5K scheduled for September 27 in Carmel.
Unfortunately, we ran into an issue with the race insurance requirements that we were not able to get resolved with the city in time for the event. We truly apologize for the cancellation and for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause.
First and foremost, thank you for signing up and for being willing to support Freedom Rising and our work to combat human trafficking. Your registration, your willingness to participate, and the support many of you have shown by sharing the event with others means a great deal to us.
Everyone who registered will receive a full refund of their registration fee. No action is needed on your part to receive the refund.
Although we are extremely disappointed that we cannot hold the race this fall, we are hopeful that we will be able to work through these issues and host a Freedom Rising 5K in the spring.
We would love for you to join the Freedom Rising newsletter so you can stay informed about our work, upcoming events, and the impact your support is helping make. When we are able to schedule another 5K, we will make sure our newsletter subscribers are among the first to know.

Join us for the Freedom Rising 5K in Carmel, Indiana, and take a stand against human trafficking.
Freedom Rising is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating human trafficking and supporting vulnerable women and children through prevention, rescue support, safe housing, education, medical care, and long-term restoration efforts.
All the proceeds from this 5K will go toward efforts to combat human trafficking. Your registration, donation, and support will help Freedom Rising and our partners continue work that protects vulnerable individuals, supports survivors, and creates pathways toward safety and freedom.
Whether you run, walk, bring your family, or simply come out to support the cause, every participant becomes part of something bigger.
